The Successful Conclusion of ICBASE 2026

The 7th International Conference on Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering (ICBASE 2026) was successfully held in Shenyang, China, from June 12 to 14, 2026. Hosted by Northeastern University and organized by its School of Computer Science and Engineering, with co-organization by the School of Artificial Intelligence, Shenyang University of Technology, the conference focused on big data, artificial intelligence, and software engineering. It brought together leading scholars, industry experts, and young talents to exchange ideas on big data analytics, machine learning, intelligent algorithms, cloud-edge computing, and AI system architecture.

The conference adopted a hybrid “offline + online” format, with one main venue, one parallel session (Intelligent Networks and Big Data), and online oral presentation sessions. It featured 6 keynote speeches, 9 invited speeches, 20 oral presentations, and multiple poster displays. Nearly 200 experts and scholars from more than 80 universities, research institutes, and enterprises participated.

On the morning of June 14, the opening ceremony was held at the main venue. Prof. Xingwei Wang, Vice President of Northeastern University, delivered the opening speech. He warmly welcomed the experts and scholars and emphasized the key role of big data, artificial intelligence, and software engineering in cultivating new quality productive forces and promoting new industrialization.

Six internationally renowned scholars delivered keynote speeches: Prof. Laurence T. Yang (Zhengzhou University), “Cyber-Physical-Social Intelligence: When Tensor-based AI meet Cyber-Physical-Social Applications”; Prof. Jun Wang (City University of Hong Kong), “Collaborative Neurodynamic Optimization: A Biologically and Socially Plausible Approach”; Prof. Yanchun Zhang (Zhejiang Normal University), “Medical Big Data / AI for Smart Health - Towards Trustworthy AI in Digital Health”; Prof. Shui Yu (University of Technology Sydney), “Blind Computing: A New Frontier of AI, Service Computing, and Cybersecurity”; Prof. Dapeng Oliver Wu (City University of Hong Kong), “Game Theoretical AI (GTAI): a New Approach for Countering Threats”; and Prof. Geyong Min (University of Exeter), “Intelligent Edge Computing: Challenges, Architectures, and Optimization.”


Keynote Speech


On the afternoon of June 13, the parallel session “Intelligent Networks and Big Data” was held at the Hunnan Campus of Northeastern University. Prof. Qiu Dao delivered a welcome address. Nine invited scholars shared research on underwater acoustic sensor networks, time series analysis, CPSS big data analytics, financial fraud detection, multi-agent collaborative perception, industrial networked transformation, underwater visible light communication, non-IID distributed learning, millimeter wave intelligent wireless sensing, and serverless computing.


Invited Speech


On the afternoon of June 14, offline and online oral presentation sessions were held, and selected posters were displayed. Twenty young scholars presented their latest findings in areas such as thermocouple signal compensation, stroke lesion segmentation, legal text bias evaluation, UAV-assisted inspection scheduling, gastric cancer detection, and light-field super-resolution.

During the conference, awards for Best Paper, Best Oral Presentation, and Best Poster were presented, with two winners for each. ICBASE 2026 provided a high-level platform for academic exchange and promoted cross-institutional and cross-border research cooperation. The ICBASE series will continue to support digital economy and intelligent industry development in Northeast China and contribute to global information technology progress.
